ROCK N' ROLL CIRCUS #88

🤯 9 YEARS OF RADIO WILDER: FROM A SIMPLE IDEA TO 10,000 HOURS! 📻✨ Checking out the music for this week’s show, I was struck by The Yardbirds' track Happenings Ten Years Time Ago. It really got me thinking... ten years ago, I hadn’t even seriously considered creating an audio leave-behind for my daughter! Fast forward to today, and as we approach our massive 9th Anniversary on September 24th, it is truly HARD TO BELIEVE what this journey has become! 🎉 📻 THE ORIGIN STORY: Fun fact: I originally wanted the name ‘Wilder Radio’, but it wasn’t available. So, we launched as Radio Wilder—and today, I wouldn’t change it for the world! 🌍 The original goal was maybe 6 to 8 hours of audio, splitting the playlist between my favorite songs and hers. The reality? We now have between 9,000 to 10,000 HOURS recorded! 🤯 About 75% of those tracks are mine, and the rest come directly from YOU GUYS, our incredible listeners! That is SO COOL! 🙌 🌍 A WORLDWIDE FAMILY: Because of this show, I now have friends all over the globe and have even been invited to stay at the home of one of our absolute favorite bands! Radio Wilder has been a true BLESSING. 🙏 (By the way, next week I’m going to highlight some of our fantastic guest ‘Conversations’, so stay tuned for that!) 🎸 THIS WEEK'S KILLER LINEUP: Let's dive into the music! We are bringing the heat this week: A rock n’ roll classic from the Rocky Fellers, Killer Joe, covered by the legendary Kingsmen (of Louie Louie fame)! 🎷 ZZ Top 🕶️🚗 The Raveonettes 🖤 The Kills ⚡ Paul Simon 🎶 Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young ☮️ Imagine Dragons 🐉 T. Rex 🦖 Soraia 🔥 Crazy to think about, but I have now played music on Radio Wilder LONGER than my actual rock n' roll playing time with my own bands! 🎸🎙️ Thanks for taking this wild ride with us. Crank it up! 👽 #RadioWilder #9thAnniversary #TheYardbirds #ZZTop #ClassicRock #InternetRadio #RockAndRoll #MusicHistory #RadioShow
