What started as a fun wintery day in Taos, NM, turned into one of the best memories with my daughter! 10 years ago, I didn’t even know how to make a playlist, so we said, “Let’s do a Father-Daughter playlist!” 🎧 There was no Radio Wilder show then—just a list for a night of music. Fast forward a few years, and after doing the show for three years, I stumbled across that playlist and thought, why not make a full Father-Daughter Show out of it! We took turns picking songs, back and forth, until we had a couple of hours of music. 🎶 Back then, I had about 200 songs to choose from. Today? Closer to 11,000! 🤯 Highlights: We’re both huge Beatles fans, so of course, there are a few of their classics in there 🎸 Her picks included gems from Duran Duran, The Lumineers, Matthew Sweet, and The Shelters 🎤 The Deuces features a band we both love, Creedence Clearwater Revival with Born on the Bayou 🌊 I paired it with Etta James' cool, sultry version of the same song 🎶 Who knew a fun playlist for one night would turn into a show about our music five years later?
