ROCK SOLID RADIO - ELDERLY CARE - EPISODE 69

from Rock Solid Families · host Rock Solid Families, Merrill and Linda Hutchinson

You've probably heard the phrase, "You can't be a sissy and grow old".  Boy, there is truth to this statement.  Growing old can be tough.  We spend the first part of our lives being cared for by our parents, the second part, raising our own family, and the third part, being cared for by our children.  Somehow there is a crazy message in this natural cycle of life.  Merrill and Linda currently find themselves with a foot in two different stages of life; still raising kids, and now caring for parents.  With that being said, this is not a time for feeling sorry for yourself or wishing it would go away.  This is a time of life, like all the other times of life, to embrace.  The opportunity to give back to our parents is incredible.  To care for them as they took the time to care for us when we were young.  Our parents deserve to be honored and respected, just as you would want to be honored and respected when you find yourself in their shoes. This show carries many useful bits of information on how to navigate these senior years with our parents. More importantly, it spotlights the message that we are to care for our family.  Our hope is that this show makes you think and even begin to plan for how you will walk through these years with your family.     Support the show#Rocksolidfamilies, #familytherapy,  #marriagecounseling,  #parenting,  #faithbasedcounseling, #counseling, #Strongdads, #coaching, #lifecoach, #lifecoaching, #marriagecoaching, #marriageandfamily, #control, #security, #respect, #affection, #love, #purpose, #faith, #affairs, #infidelity
