This week we discuss Metallica's rockumentary, Some Kind of Monster. Filmed during the production of 2003's St. Anger, the documentary explores the bands trials through recording a fraught process. Alcholism, ego, therapy, opportunists, death, reconciliation, new people in, old people out, and more.While we aren't the biggest Metallica fans or metalheads, this is an interesting view into the creative process -- the human element of band dynamics. We give our take as we relate to the marriage that is a band.
