Rocky (1976)

EVER WANTED TO HIT SOMEONE? We have! So, continuing the theme of watching movies we haven't seen, we watched the long overdue Rocky! Does it live up to the hype? Is this one a knockout? Does this movie deserve the some 200 sequels it receives. LET US TELL YOU (without judging it too hard cause how fun are movies folks?) Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone), a small-time boxer from working-class Philadelphia, is arbitrarily chosen to take on the reigning world heavyweight champion, Apollo Creed (Carl Weathers), when the undefeated fighter's scheduled opponent is injured. While training with feisty former bantamweight contender Mickey Goldmill (Burgess Meredith), Rocky tentatively begins a relationship with Adrian (Talia Shire), the wallflower sister of his meat-packer pal Paulie (Burt Young).
