For the next 25 years he worked with his family in their BBQ stop in Hemingway, SC until 2017 when he opened Rodney Scott’s BBQ in Charleston, SC.  In the same year the restaurant was named one of the 50 Best New Restaurants by Bon Appetit Magazine and in 2018, Scott was awarded the James Beard Foundation’s award for Outstanding Chef in the Southeast, being only the second pitmaster to ever do so. He's now working on opening his 6th restaurant in Nashville. Rodney is going to give us ideas for the last blast of the summer BBQ, Labor Day weekend.  Andy and Dave will be talking about grilling fish. www.bbqradionetwork.com

The move towards more renewables in our energy systems complicates matters even further, requiring the development of an integrated power grid and continuous and steady transformation of the UK power system. Network flows must be managed reliably under uncertain demands, uncertain supply, emerging network technologies and possible failures and, further, prices in related markets can be highly volatile. Mathematicians working with engineers and economists, can make significant contributions to address such issues, by helping to develop fit-for-purpose models for next generation energy systems. These interdisciplinary approaches are looking to address a range of associated problems, including modelling, prediction, simulation, control, market and mechanism design and optimisation.
