Rogers Heads to White Sox | Detroit Tigers News

The Detroit Tigers just lost catcher Jake Rogers to the Chicago White Sox—right before a crucial weekend series. Rogers, already a recent journeyman after bouncing around AL teams, fills a glaring need for the struggling White Sox, who rank last in MLB catching stats. Tigers players are stunned, with manager A.J. Hinch joking via text that “baseball is just a strange game sometimes.” Meanwhile, star outfielder Riley Greene heads to rehab in Florida for a hamstring strain—he’s an All-Star and could return soon on their next road trip.
