Rogers Joins Chelsea for £117M | Chelsea F.C. News

Chelsea swoops in for Aston Villa’s star striker Morgan Rogers in a £117M blockbuster deal — a six-year contract with a seventh-year option — sealing his move before the summer transfer window closes. The 23-year-old, who’s currently with England, will undergo his medical at Stamford Bridge next week and joins Chelsea’s fourth signing under new manager Xabi Alonso. Rogers, who’s scored 31 goals in 125 games since joining Villa in 2024, was also eyed by Arsenal, Man Utd, and PSG — but Chelsea’s pitch won’t be denied. Villa, already cashing in with a £35M sale of Youri Tielemans to Man Utd, sees this as a smart reinvestment to bolster their squad. Rogers’ arrival marks a pivotal moment for both clubs as Chelsea rebuilds under Alonso and Villa looks to keep climbing.
