Roles People Live – The AuthoritarianAired Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at 8:00 AM PST / 11:00 AM ESTThis week on It’s Your Ego—Stupid!, Dr. Nick will be looking intensely at people who are living in the role of the Authoritarian. A person who has a rigid and inflexible approach to their thoughts and thinking, which they see little need to change even when confronted with new, better, or different information, that can serve to enhance the quality of their mind. A person who believes they “own” the truth and believes others should be converted to it. A person who has a propensity to look upon different ideas and beliefs as being deficient, as well as the people who think them. This is someone who can be a family member or friend, a co-worker or employer. Unfortunately, this role often contributes to intolerance, frustration, and resentment of others who do not always share their views and opinions. During this show, I’ll be drawing upon my book The Two Voices Within to look at the impact of lower ego flexibility on the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors of those living in the role of Authoritarian. I’ll be looking at the “voice” of ego and the messages the Authoritarian is experiencing and working with due to the mixture of their lower ego flexibility energy and their mind. Many of them, the Authoritarian is unaware of, but still exerting a powerful impact on their life and unfortunately others. I’ll also be looking at what their ego energy is doing to block the Authoritarian from hearing the voice of spirit which is rooted in their Divinity. An inability to recognize the Love, Life, and Energy—God Is, within their being, due to the great distance being created by their ego energy.
