Roles People Live – The Traumatized PersonAired Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at 8:00 AM PST / 11:00 AM ESTThis week on It’s Your Ego—Stupid!, Dr. Nick will be looking intensely at people who are living in the role of the Traumatized Person. The Traumatized Person has been exposed to an event or events in which they have faced the distinct possibility that their life would end. This event or events often reappears in some way, shape, or form within their thoughts, feelings, behaviors, or bodily experiences. The Traumatized Person remains connected to the event/s in order to prevent their reoccurrence and ensure their safety and survival. The event/s often creates a wall between themselves and those who have not encountered a traumatic event, particularly loved ones. It is as though they can never be truly known or understood by those who have not encountered their trauma.During this show, I’ll be drawing upon my book The Two Voices Within to look at the impact of higher ego vulnerability on the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors of those living in the role of the Traumatized Person. I’ll be looking at the “voice” of ego and the messages the Traumatized Person is experiencing and working with due to the mixture of their higher ego vulnerability energy and their mind. Many of them, the Traumatized Person is unaware of, but still exerting a powerful negative impact on their life and unfortunately others. I’ll also be looking at what their ego energy is doing to block the Traumatized Person from hearing the voice of spirit which is rooted in their Divinity. An inability to recognize the Love, Life, and Energy—God Is, within their being, due to the great distance being created by their ego energy. When the Traumatized Person is able to “hear” the mistruths contained within ego’s voice and the truths in spirit’s voice, the door to transformation can open, and the days of living in the role of Traumatized Person can be ended.
