Rolling Rumble (Motor City)
from ohthatdansurman Hosted by Dan Surman
Feels Like a Storm is Dan Surman's most atmospheric record — 11 tracks of slow-burn blues, late-night soul and smoldering R&B moving through bar-room authenticity, gothic clockwork, Motown joy and whiskey-soaked noir. From the moment a performer silences a room with Blues in E to the Motor City and Kent County road mapped in two versions of the same restless longing, this is music that takes its time and means every second of it. The storm doesn't arrive all at once. That's precisely the point.
