Pt. 1 Charlie and his family are heading to Italy for some La dolce vita (the sweet life)! Claire Charlie's Octopus Mom has a new baby girl Teal and the boys Kato and Cairo are growing up fast. The drilling at the bottom of the sea by Mr. Velcrons Oil Company is disturbing all the residences of the Kingdom of Kiradora. School is out for summer and Charlie's teacher Professor Chadwick Rowbottoms gives a homework assignment for all the students to write about their summer vacation. Charlie's Octopus Dad Baxter gets a Baker apprentice in Rome so Claire tells her family to pack and they head to Venice, Rome and Capri. However, Luigi Bolenasa, a Restaurant owner spots the Ocutpus family and wants to cook them for his dinner special. Luigi tells his henchmen Marco and Sergio to catch Clair, Teal, Kato and Cairo and cook them up for his big dinner special at the restaurant. Kato and Cairo follow Clair and befriend her by telling her they are tour guides. Marco and Sergio throw a net on the octopus and take a boat to Capri. However, teal slips out the net hole and swims to Charlie.
