While Romans contains the good news of salvation and sanctification based on the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ, Paul begins with the bad news: all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Only by agreeing with the bad news does the good news become life and light to the lost.   Romans is a book of practical exhortation. The good news of Jesus Christ is more than facts to be believed.
