Boasting in the Law. The Promise to All. "For the promise to Abraham or to his descendants that he would inherit the world was not through the law, but through the righteousness that comes by faith." Romans 4:13 Romans 4 reminds us that salvation has always been by faith. In this milestone 100th episode, Paul takes us back to Abraham and shows us that he was counted righteous before the law was ever given. That matters because it means our standing before God is not based on our works, our religious performance, or our ability to keep the rules. Righteousness is received by faith. Abraham believed God, and that faith pointed forward to the promise that would be fulfilled in Jesus. As you listen, you will be reminded that the gospel is bigger than one nation, one background, or one group of people. God’s promise is for all who believe. Romans 4 calls us to stop boasting in ourselves and start trusting fully in the grace of God. This chapter challenges us to live with a faith that is not just spoken, but practiced daily through trust, obedience, humility, and hope in the God who keeps His promises.
