Send us Fan Mail Paul adds, however, that “my members,” his less important extremities, weak and indwelt with sin, wage war against his heart and mind. As believers, we are fundamentally changed. Our core, our heart, soul, and mind are renewed. It is from there that we desire to please the Lord, acknowledge his commandments, and grow in Christ. Our new life in Christ grows outward from our heart and mind until it overtakes and extinguishes sin. From our inner being to our fingertips, we are no longer in captivity to sin.
