Romans 9:25-33

The chosen are the persons who believe in Christ. (See note, Believe—Ro. 10:16–17 for discussion.) “That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life” (Jn. 3:15). “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life” (Jn. 5:24). “Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live” (Jn. 11:25). “I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness” (Jn. 12:46).
