Paul begins this chapter with a broken heart for his own people. He is not simply trying to win an argument. He is grieving over people he loves who are missing the Savior. That challenges us to ask whether we have that same burden for family, friends, neighbors, and others around us who are far from God. As you listen, you will also be reminded that God is sovereign, merciful, and always working according to His perfect plan. Romans 9 can be a challenging chapter, but it pushes us to trust God even when we do not fully understand His ways. His mercy is not earned by human effort, and His purposes are bigger than what we can always see in the moment. This episode will help you reflect on the seriousness of salvation, the depth of God’s mercy, and the call to share the gospel with a heart that truly cares.
