Romans: The Gospel for Everyone — Week 19 - Romans 8:18-30

Romans 8:18-30 holds two truths together: believers are heirs with Christ, and on this side of heaven they still suffer. This study reads verse 17's clause about sharing in suffering as the gospel itself—the groaning comes before the glory. Creation is described as subjected to frustration because of the fall, yet waiting in hope . The message argues that the deeper the pain, the greater the hope of eternal glory, and that the Spirit intercedes with wordless groans when believers do not know how to pray. Only against that backdrop is verse 28 heard rightly: in all things God works for the good of those who love him . God's love is measured not by our circumstances but by His sovereign grace.
