Romans: The Gospel for Everyone — Week 2 - Romans 1:8-15

In Romans 1:8-15 Paul commends a church whose faith was reported worldwide—believers known for radical courage and for caring for the sick, the abandoned, and the vulnerable when their culture would not. This message turns that report into a mirror. Is our faith being reported—not globally, but in our workplaces, our neighborhoods, even under our own roofs? Would the people closest to us be surprised to learn we have a faith at all? Paul prayed constantly for a church he had never met, raising the question of whether our own prayers reach beyond ourselves to the church, the persecuted, and the lost. The conclusion is pointed: the church may not urgently need Christians willing to die for their faith so much as Christians willing to live for it. A pastor's heart is shared—that only Jesus gets to tell you who you are, and that you are not your sin or your past.
