Romans: The Gospel for Everyone — Week 20 - Romans 8:32-39

Romans 8:31-39 is the climax of everything Paul has argued. The conditional if God is for us is read not as uncertainty but as settled fact: the cross, justification, grace, and mercy are established, therefore no one can stand against us. The message names the accusers who will come—Satan, unbelievers, even people we have hurt—and concedes many of their charges are true. Yet no accusation holds, because the basis of our justification is the work of Christ alone, not our merit. The closing dwells on the promise that nothing can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus , and warns against the pride of refusing the forgiveness God freely offers.
