Romans: The Gospel for Everyone — Week 23 - Romans 10:18-21

Romans 10:18-21 confronts a hard question: had Israel not heard? The answer is that they had every advantage—the covenants, the law, over three hundred prophecies—and were therefore without excuse. The message develops general revelation (God known through creation and conscience) and special revelation (God known through Scripture and the person of Jesus), arguing that those who have heard the gospel are accountable to it. A recurring refrain— if you have been saved, then you have been sent —presses believers to carry the gospel into everyday life rather than outsourcing it to one sermon a week. The closing image is verse 21: God holding out His hands all day long to a disobedient people— arms wide open, waiting for people to come home .
