Romans Week 6 - No One Is Righteous

There is not a single person who can claim to be righteous on their own. And one cannot be freed of guilt and declared righteous before God by trying to do good works or what the Law says. Paul helps us to understand why God gave us His law – it is so that we become knowledgeable about sin! While the recognition of sin may direct us toward repentance, that alone can provide no remedy. We need Jesus to reconcile us to God and His Spirit to enable us to live in alignment with God’s priorities, values, agenda and mission. This, my friends, is what it means to know Christ and make Him known!
