Roomed On Time

Today’s BIG Idea is a project I built for a practice last week to track the number of patients who are roomed on time.  Listen to the podcast for more details, but if you have appointment data (start time, provider, location, etc.) and can add the time the patient arrived and the time the patient was roomed, you have a wealth of data at your fingertips.  Most practice management systems can manage the appointment data.  If you need to, it is worth changing your work flow to get the time the patient was arrived and the time the patient was roomed.  These data, combined with the appointment data, can drive productivity for providers and your rooming team and can make your practice more efficient.  Especially as we try to social distance, keeping patients out of the lobby, into exam rooms, and out the door is a win for everyone.  Thanks for listening.
