Rory was an experienced mascot, he'd been "friends with Pluto" and made enough money performing small-town parades as American Airlines' "Spoke Seat 12A" to move from Texas to New York City to pursue his dreams of being a comic. That said, when he got to the City, the mascot jobs kept coming, and they kept getting worse. One day, when he was asked to work as a "spokes baby" for a nameless restaurant app he realised that those days spent pretending to be an anthropomorphised tea cup may have been safer. Rory's story is funny and human and rooted in the white-boy funk of Blood Sweat and Tears' 1970s hit Spinning Wheel.
