Her fortæller Niels lidt om vores berømte bysbarn, Louis Pio.Wikipedia: "Louis Albert Francois Pio (født 14. december 1841 i Roskilde, død 27. juni 1894 i Chicago) var en dansk socialistisk pioner, der grundlagde den organiserede arbejderbevægelse i Danmark. Pio stiftede sammen med Harald Brix og Paul Geleff Den Internationale Arbejderforening for Danmark i 1871, som senere blev til Socialdemokratiet. Han var far til Sylvia Pio....."Socialdemokratiet.dk: "Louis Pio (1841-1894) Formand for Socialdemokratiet 1871-72 og 1875-77Socialdemokratiets spæde start skete en forårsdag i 1871. Louis Pio udgav i dette forår to små pjecer med titlen ’Socialistiske Blade’. I pjecerne opfordrede Pio de danske arbejdere til at organisere sig både fagligt og politisk. Pio mente, at arbejderne selv kunne opnå indflydelse på løn- og arbejdsvilkår ved at organisere sig. Dermed ville arbejderne kunne forbedre deres position i samfundet......"
