Ross County Commissioners Update

from WBEX-AM Podcast

Ross County Commissioners Doug Corcoran, Steve Neal and Dwight Garrett discuss issues facing Ross County's budget while trying to accomplish two building projects. The state announced late last year they'd be cutting funding to the counties. That's $1,000,000 the Commission was expecting to have in its budget when they began the work on expanding the Ross County Service Center and the jails at the Law Enforcement Complex downtown. They're also gearing up for Camp Sherman Days, a commemoration of the 100th anniversary of Camp Sherman and the pending World Heritage Designation which they feel would be a global impact on our local economy. They also address the Ohio Route 207 extension connecting Ohio Routes 159/180 with US 23 and Ohio Route 104 as well as the Ross County Chapter of the Emergency Management Agency.
