Ross Fire Rages Through North Texas | Spokane News

North Texas is facing a wildfire emergency as the Ross Fire rages over 50,000 acres in Palo Pinto and Jack Counties, destroying at least five buildings and forcing evacuations. Ignited by extreme dry heat, the blaze is spreading fast with firefighters battling under brutal conditions, supported by strike teams from across the region. Smaller fires are also flaring nearby, while officials urge caution to prevent new ignitions. Though some relief may come with rain expected midweek, for now, it’s all hands on deck as communities rally to support crews and protect lives.
