Roster Shake-Up After All-Star Break | Cleveland Guardians News

Roster shakeup looms as Ramirez and Martinez return from the IL, forcing tough cuts. Halpin and Watson are likely headed down — Halpin’s a solid defender but a short-term fix, Watson’s cooled off and needs more time in the minors. Arias, though, is making a strong case with his improved offense, both in Triple-A and lately in the majors. The outfield could see DeLauter, Kwan, Martinez, Schneemann, and Fry, with Arias stepping in as needed — and Angel Genao and Ralphy Velazquez are ready to pounce if Arias falters or a trade hits. It’s a numbers game balancing current form with future potential, and with plenty of talent vying for limited spots, this roster battle is far from over.
