Rotten Egg

Hi, I’m John Sorensen, President of Evangelism Explosion International, and you’re listening to Share Life Today. How good is good enough to go to Heaven? Well, someone once answered this question to me with a batch of chocolate chip cookies. You can put the highest quality of ingredients in the batter; but if you use just one rotten egg, it ruins the whole batch. Just like a bad egg in a cookie batch, even one sin ruins our chances of getting into heaven with a perfect and holy God. Habakkuk says that God cannot tolerate our sin. But despite this, there is good news! God loves us, and wants to save us from our sin. So while we are not good enough to go to heaven on our own works, Jesus lived a perfect life and offered Himself as a sacrifice in our place. What we have to do is accept God's gift of grace!
