Transactionally, the A’s claimed INF Donovan Walton off waivers from the Angels along with making a coaching staff. Yesterday, the A’s dismissed longtime pitching coach Scott Emerson in an attempt to shake things up with a struggling pitching staff with bullpen coach Dan Hubbs set to fill the role for the remainder of the season.
