As the New Year arrives, many of us assess the state of our happiness, and so we set new goals – perhaps outlining a new direction -- to achieve our objectives and find more joy.  In Episode 14, we have a guest who has successfully navigated that trail and can help show us the way.  He's Jim Rushton,  Senior Vice President, Business Strategy & Stadium Affairs for the Los Angeles Chargers, and he's traversed a path from career-driven radio entrepreneur and sports executive to a new fairway that balances family values and personal fulfillment.

Jim outlines his journey from the adrenaline of being adjacent to sports championships in his hometown of Boston, to his reflective moments where he learned how to break out of his comfort zone to find personal and professional growth in new locations.  Within that discussion, we have a heart-to-heart dialogue about the power of thoughtful decision-making and the courage it takes to leap into new ventures.  It's a conversation that is as much about looking inward as it is about looking ahead, always with the endearing realization that growth can be measured in many ways, and achieved on many fronts.

So join us for a conversation sure to inspire you to get moving towards all of the things you can accomplish in the year ahead.

Happy New Year, Dear Friends.  Here's to making it a great one.

Murder Archives Nearly We’ve started this podcast to create a dialogue with you, that may help solve a 1929 murder in Toorak. If you want to know more, or help in the amateur sleuthing, we’ve uploaded documents and images to our website www.murderarchives.com.au to complement the podcast.About the case.On 9 September 1929, Norma McLeod, an unmarried 29-year-old teacher was found unconscious in her parent’s home in the prestigious suburb of Toorak. A pair of men’s underpants lay across her forehead. By 5pm that day she was dead. An autopsy revealed a seven-inch crack in the back of her skull caused by violent trauma from a blunt object. The case attracted huge press and public attention; accusations were plentiful, but an inquest returned an open verdict.Almost 90 years after this mysterious death, an extensive three-year investigation involving a re-examination of the police files, combined with an in-depth look at Norma’s family, raises questions about the rigour of the original investigation.
