Royal Marine Dave ‘Dinger’ Bell’s Mission to Row Across the Atlantic Ocean Unassisted

from The Jack Carr Channel · host Jack Carr

This week, Jack talks to a truly inspiring person who will soon be attempting an incredible feat: rowing across the Atlantic Ocean alone and unsupported. The trip from New York to the U.K.— 2,710 nautical miles— will take months. But for former Royal Marine Dave ‘Dinger’ Bell, the mission is greater than just the row: He’s raising money for some incredible causes.   Sponsored by the marine safety brand Crewsaver, the journey is expected to take up to four months on the open ocean. Dinger is also using the event to raise money and awareness for some incredible causes: The Special Boat Service Association, which supports former SBS servicemembers and their families, Rock2Recovery, which supports British veterans and Bravery.org.uk, an organization founded by a former member of the U.K. Special Forces (SBS) that supports charities for underprivileged children and discharged members of the Armed Forces.  Jack and Dinger break down the upcoming trip, hear how Dinger has prepared, and a lot more.   Presented by SIG Sauer.  Later in the show, Jack recommends a curated selection of medical supplies and gear for Stop the Bleed month.    Support Dinger’s charities: https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/DaveDingerBell  Follow Dinger’s journey:  @ny2uksolorow  Learn more about Dinger at https://ny2uksolorow.co.uk   Featured Gear: Dark Angel Medical Hard Case Kit Dark Angel EDC Trauma Kits  Dark Angel IFAK Trauma Kit
