Royal Rumble 2026 Review: Roman Reigns & Liv Morgan Head to WrestleMania | AJ Styles Retires?

In this episode of Two Dudes With Attitudes, Ryan and Denton deliver their full review and breakdown of WWE Royal Rumble 2026 as the Road to WrestleMania officially begins. We go match-by-match through the entire Premium Live Event, giving honest reactions, analysis, and debate on the biggest moments of the night. The main question we tackle: Was Roman Reigns the right choice to win the Men’s Royal Rumble? We break down the final eliminations, the booking decision, and what Roman’s victory means for WWE’s WrestleMania main-event picture moving forward. We also dive deep into the Women’s Royal Rumble Match, won by Liv Morgan, which we felt clearly outshined the men’s match. We discuss breakout performances from Sol Ruca and Lash Legend, the overall pacing and creativity of the match, the lack of true surprise entrants, and what Liv Morgan’s win means for the women’s championship scene. Another major topic is AJ Styles vs. Gunther, where Styles put his WWE career on the line and ultimately fell short. Is this truly the end of AJ Styles in WWE, or is it part of a larger long-term storyline? We debate whether the retirement stipulation is legitimate or just the beginning of something bigger. We also break down Drew McIntyre defeating Sami Zayn to retain the Undisputed WWE Championship and what this result means for both competitors heading toward WrestleMania season. We close the episode with our signature “Two Thumbs With Attitudes” segment, where we grade the entire event with our percentage-based scoring system: 80% or higher earns a thumbs up, below 80% earns a thumbs down. No nostalgia bias. No favoritism. Just unbiased wrestling analysis.
