Royals Add 6'8 Lefty Pitcher Luke Little | Kansas City Royals News

The Royals just snagged a 6-foot-8 lefty sensation, Luke Little, off waivers from the Cubs—tying the franchise’s tallest starting pitcher record. At just 25, he’s got MLB experience and elite velocity, heading to Triple-A Omaha to bolster a struggling bullpen. Meanwhile, starter Luinder Avila is on the 60-day IL after Tommy John surgery, joining nine other pitchers sidelined—but he’s staying positive, even hanging out with teammates. The Royals see Little’s deceptive delivery and breaking ball as key assets, hoping he can refine his command into a game-changing lefty force.
