Royals Collapse After Thomas Trade | Kansas City Royals News

The Royals’ road trip just hit rock bottom as they dropped their third straight game, losing 12-6 to the Rockies after a shaky start from pitcher Luinder Avila—who gave up six runs in one inning and nearly slipped on the mound. The Rockies exploded for three runs off a Hunter Goodman homer (his second of the night), while the Royals’ offense went silent after an early four-run lead. Things got even weirder when outfielder Lane Thomas was traded mid-game to the Braves for two minor leaguers, saying goodbye to teammates before being pulled in the fourth. Now 20 games under .500, they’ll try to avoid a sweep tomorrow—but it’s clear this trip is already written off. Listen in comfort:Get a discount on a Soli Pillow: http://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
