Royals Draft Strikeout Machine Taylor Rabe | Kansas City Royals News

The Royals just snagged a strikeout machine in the 2026 MLB Draft, selecting 6’6” right-hander Taylor Rabe out of Ole Miss with the 30th overall pick. With a fastball averaging 96 mph and a dominant strikeout-to-walk ratio (4th nationally), Rabe proved he can dominate SEC competition, racking up 105 Ks in 76 innings last season. His repeatable delivery and physical tools make him a fast-track candidate to bolster Kansas City’s starting rotation — a perfect fit after their first pick, outfielder Zion Rose.
