Royals On Fire, Guardians in Hot Seat | Cleveland Guardians News

The Kansas City Royals are on fire, winning 13 of their last 15 games and flipping a switch to play with electrifying energy—especially on the road. Their first winning month of the year and a surge above .500 since the All-Star break have them closing in on the Guardians, who still cling to the wild card. Seth Lugo takes the mound for KC, hoping to deliver his best stuff against a Guardians’ lefty ace. First pitch: 12:40 PM CT. This is the Royals’ final game of August—and they’re not just trying to finish strong, they’re aiming to keep this momentum rolling.
