Royals Rally Despite Injuries | Kansas City Royals News

Despite key injuries to stars Jac Caglianone and Bobby Witt Jr., the Kansas City Royals battled back with grit to win 3-2 against the Giants, thanks to rookie pitcher Luinder Avila’s stellar performance and clutch offense from Vinnie Pasquantino and Nick Loftin. Avila struck out seven and held the Giants scoreless after they tied the game on an error. Rookie Carter Jensen added a 14th homer, and the bullpen locked it down for Alex Lange’s ninth save. The Royals’ record climbs to 42-60, with four wins in five games and a momentum surge since the All-Star break. They’re aiming for a series sweep today.
