Royals Sign Kimbrel for Bullpen Boost | Kansas City Royals News

The Royals just pulled off a bullpen blockbuster, signing Craig Kimbrel — a nine-time All-Star and four-time saves leader — to stabilize their leaky relief corps. With the worst ERA in baseball at 5.36, KC’s pitching staff needs help badly, and Kimbrel’s 2.67 career ERA and 440 saves offer exactly that. It’ll be his 12th team — and he’s already bounced between the Mets and Rays this year — but his recent All-Star form proves he’s still elite. Even Josh Rojas pitched an inning last week when the bullpen collapsed, allowing six runs. Now, with Kimbrel on board, the Royals hope to turn things around before it’s too late.
