Royals' Top Prospects Shine in Futures Game | Kansas City Royals News

Two Kansas City Royals prospects, 18-year-old phenom Kendry Chourio and first-round pick Blake Mitchell, are headed to the 2026 All-Star Futures Game in Philly—showcasing the Royals’ brightest future stars on a national stage. Chourio, already the top prospect in the system, dominates on the mound with a blazing fastball and sharp secondary pitches after a meteoric rise through the minors. Mitchell, the Royals’ third-ranked prospect, delivers with power and consistency, already hitting 13 homers and driving in 40 runs this season. Both players, who’ve been teammates in Quad Cities, will compete in this seven-inning exhibition on July 12th at 11 AM Central on NBC—a major milestone for their development and a promising sign for the Royals’ future.
