Royals Trade Bubic for Duran | Kansas City Royals News

The Royals pull off a bold trade deadline move, sending injured lefty Kris Bubic to the Dodgers for towering reliever Carlos Duran — a 6’7” strikeout machine with a 97 mph fastball and nasty slider. Bubic, once an All-Star and key postseason arm, is exiting after seven seasons amid injury woes. Duran, just 25 with one MLB appearance, could be the future of KC’s bullpen if he can refine his control. A classic rebuild vs. immediate impact swap.
