Royals Trade Misner to Phillies | Kansas City Royals News

The Royals just traded outfielder Kameron Misner to the Phillies for cash, marking their first move of the season as they juggle roster spots and rebuild. Misner, 28, played 18 games with a .222 average, 9 hits, 4 RBIs, and 3 steals, often coming off the bench or stepping in at center field. A fourth MLB organization for him, this deal follows his DFA earlier in the week. While the Royals have added players like Seabold and Dobnak through smaller deals, GM J.J. Picollo is still watching the market — not ready to sell out, but aiming for competitiveness in 2027. Misner, originally drafted by KC in 2016, brings some familiar history back to the team.
