RRR 78RPM Show – Feb. 14, 2016

from Rapidly Rotating Records · host Glenn Robison

Welcome to "Rapidly Rotating Records," Glenn Robison's weekly, one hour radio program of "toe-tapping music from rapidly rotating 78RPM records of the 1920s and 30s", broadcast Sunday evenings at 6:00 PM over KISL FM 88.7 Avalon. Rapidly Rotating Records 78RPM Show – February 14, 2016 This week's show has no segment topics! That's because last week, my wife and I had the great pleasure of seeing the Pasadena Roof Orchestra live at the McCallum Theatre in Palm Desert, CA. We have been fans of the PRO since the 1970s when I bought my first of their LPs. This week's playlist consists of vintage recordings of (most of) the songs that the orchestra played during the concert.  Please visit the Pasadena Roof Orchestra at their Facebook page or their website. As always, just click on the link below to instantly listen streaming online and/or download the show. Your comments, topic suggestions and requests are always welcome. Let us know what your favorite record is this week. Enjoy the show!  Here's the complete playlist: Segment 1: I Can't Dance (I Got Ants In My Pants) – Georgia Washboard Stompers Cheek To Cheek – Fred Astarie with Leo Reisman AHO Home In Pasadena – Frank Westphal AHO Segment 2: Top Hat, White Tie And Tails – Fred Astaire with Johnny Green AHO Puttin' On The Ritz – Jan Garber AHO / Maxwell Covert, v.
