RRR 78RPM Show – March 29, 2015

from Rapidly Rotating Records · host Glenn Robison

Welcome to "Rapidly Rotating Records," Glenn Robison's weekly, one hour radio program of "toe-tapping music from rapidly rotating 78 RPM records of the 1920s and 30s", broadcast Sunday evenings at 6:00 PM over KISL FM 88.7 Avalon. Last week's broadcast show was "recycled" due to the fact that I was in Colorado for the 3rd Annual Durango Ragtime and Early Jazz Festival. This week's brand new edition of the show is sort of a "recap" of the festival. We've got a melange of rapidly rotating records all chosen because they have some connection to the festival. The headliner for this year's festival was boogie woogie and blues legend Carl Sonny Leyland. You can find out all about Carl and his music at his website, www.CarlSonnyLeyland.com. And you can read about the Durango Ragtime Festival at www.DurangoRagtimeFestival.com. I look forward to seeing YOU at next year's festival.  Once again, a number of records on this edition of the show are making their RRR debut.  As always, just click on the link below to listen streaming online and/or download the show. Your comments, requests and topic suggestions are always welcome.  What is your favorite record on this week's show?? Enjoy the show!
