RSC 2014 Conference: Refugee Voices. Lectures by Cathrine Thorleifsson; Dina Jane Kiwan; Ruba Al Akash and Karen Boswall; Veronica Ferreri. This recording begins with a lecture by Cathrine Thorleifsson (Fafo Institute for Applied International Studies) on 'Coping strategies among self-settled Syrians in Lebanon.' It continues with a lecture by Dina Jane Kiwan (American University of Beirut) on 'Constructions of ‘refugees’ through cultural expression: Syrian refugees in Lebanon.' Next, Ruba Al Akash (Jordan University of Science and Technology) and Karen Boswall present their work on 'Listening to the voices of Syrian women refugees in Jordan: ethnographies of displacement and emplacement', which includes video interviews with Syrian refugees in Jordan.
