"Rueben's Story of Forgiveness" // Genesis 37-45 (3/3/24)

Guilt is something we can carry for a long, long time. We can think that our past mistakes could never be forgiven. And even if others do forgive us, forgiving ourselves is sometimes the hardest part. Rueben, Joseph's oldest brother, knows a thing or two about guilt. His regret and shame around his treatment of Joseph haunts him for almost two decades. He imagines it's something he'll probably always live with - until God works a miracle of grace, one of the greatest reversals in narrative history. This Sunday, we wrap up our four-part series on the life of Joseph, from Genesis 37-45, and hear the conclusion from Rueben himself, in the form of a "first-person sermon".
