from Jefferson Public Radio Hosted by Jefferson Public Radio

The Juno Award-winning singer-songwriter and composer Rufus Wainwright has made a musical mark with seven albums of original music, an opera and soundtracks for movies such as Across the Universe, Shrek, Bridget Jones’ Diary and Moulin Rouge. The Canadian-American also earned a Grammy nomination for his sold-out Judy Garland tribute performances at Carnegie Hall. From pop to classical to opera, Wainwright is fulfilling his mission “to make albums with variety and a sense of perspective on all that music can be.” He visited with JPR's Eric Teel and played a few songs from his latest release, "Out of the Game."
