Rumpl: Wylie Robinson

from Starting Small · host Cameron Nagle

Thank you for tuning into "Starting Small", a podcast about brand development, entrepreneurship, and innovation in the modern world. In this episode, I am joined by Wylie Robinson, Founder of Rumpl, a blanket made for everywhere. Wylie attended the University of Colorado at Boulder where he studied Environmental design and was apart of the cycling team.  While on a surfing trip, Wylie and his Co-Founder's vehicle was unresponsive to start. While camping out, they realized the void in versatility with "indoor" blankets, and how their sleeping bags could withhold the outdoor climate. Taking this into account, Wylie returned home and sewed up their first prototype, which evolved to become Rumpl as it is today. In late 2020, Wylie presented Rumpl to ABC's Shark Tank, where he went on with already raising $3 million plus in funding prior. Listen as we talk about Wylie's upbringing, the development of Rumpl, and the complete Shark Tank experience.
