Running on Respect

The Three Rural White Guys kick off a new intermittent series on Democratic primaries in rural America. This episode features Taylor Wettach, candidate for Iowa’s 1st District of the United States House of Representatives. Wettach discusses the importance of showing up, listening first, and earning trust outside the usual political hotspots. The guys discuss why competitive primaries matter, what rural communities are actually asking for, and how respect, presence, and follow-through shape both campaigns and outcomes in rural communities.
