Running the Odds | Ark Conspiracy Ch. 32 | Come Follow Me Fiction (Psalms)
from Come Follow Me Meditations · host Pondereth
He is standing directly on top of the one machine that can save everyone — and there is no door. Chapter 32 of The Ark Conspiracy, a Come Follow Me faith-fiction series for August 24–30, "I Will Declare What He Hath Done for My Soul" (Psalms 49–51; 61–66; 69–72; 77–78; 85–86). THE STORY SO FAR: Noah Reyes crossed a continent with his two best friends to reach a research station buried in the ice, chasing the work his grandfather left unfinished. They made it — and the floor sealed behind them. ▶ START FROM CHAPTER 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g84Ka4rbIc4&list=PLk8RdfIMqKFegcyJIDF9UVPrZBKqYTcKp This week's psalms belong to people writing in the dark. Asaph lies awake in Psalm 77 with the questions no one says out loud — will the Lord cast off forever, is His mercy gone — and those questions were kept in scripture, not edited out. The turn, when it comes, is not an answer. It is "I will remember the works of the Lord." David asks for a clean heart in Psalm 51, remembers God upon his bed in the night watches in Psalm 63, and calls Him good and ready to forgive in Psalm 86. Every one of those psalms was written by someone who said the hard thing out loud instead of carrying it alone. Chapter 32 sits in exactly that place. Noah takes the worst news of his life to the coldest corner of the room to hold by himself, and it is not until he says it out loud — to two people who did not leave — that it starts weighing what it actually weighs. Then Eli does the only thing anyone in this story can do: he remembers, out loud, everything they have already come through. Scriptures: Psalms 49–51; 61–66; 69–72; 77–78; 85–86 Come, Follow Me lesson: "I Will Declare What He Hath Done for My Soul" Lesson dates: August 24–30 ABOUT THIS SERIES: The Ark Conspiracy is an original faith-fiction series that follows the weekly Come, Follow Me scriptures through story.
